The SLD-18 – Professional Power in a Compact Package

Built for demanding operators, the SAMI SLD-18 combines efficiency with simplicity. Its hot-dip galvanized body resists corrosion, while stainless-steel components ensure long-term durability against salt and moisture. The compact frame makes it easy to handle, and the optional three-point tilting set allows quick self-loading without damaging the disc.

Filling the spreader is simple and safe. The hopper can be loaded directly with sand, salt, or granite grit using a front loader, or with bulk grain-like material via the tilting mechanism. The open-top design and protective grid ensure that the filling process is clean and controlled, preventing large clumps or foreign objects from entering the auger. This makes it easy for one operator to refill the SLD-18 quickly, even in challenging winter conditions.

The adjustable disc blades – set from 0° to 25° – let operators fine-tune the spreading pattern and distance to match material type and road width. The result is smooth, even coverage and minimal waste.

GPS Precision and Ease of Use

One of the SLD-18’s greatest strengths is its automatic GPS spreading system. The machine starts spreading automatically once it reaches 5 km/h and stops when speed drops below that point, ensuring consistent results without manual adjustment.

The control panel allows operators to switch between GRIT and SALT modes, while all performance data – including material type, working time, and distance – can be exported via USB for tracking and reporting
