Martin Järveoja will compete in the green helmet at the start of the season

SAMI, an Estonian engineering company known as a manufacturer of road maintenance equipment, has signed a sponsorship agreement with Martin Järveoja, the driver of the Hyundai WRC team, which will result in him wearing a green helmet in 2024.

As Martin has used our products in the past, we are delighted to work with an athlete who truly values our company. Martin will be competing in the 2024 WRC season, which starts in Monte-Carlo on 25 January, in a striking new SAMI-designed green helmet,” explained Villu Valm, CEO of SAMI Machinery OÜ, in a press release.

Valm added that motor racing is one of the best examples of where people and technology working together can achieve great results: without good technology, drivers don’t do the work, and without a good team, high-level technology is of little use.

SAMI’s mission is to equip road managers with the best professional equipment to keep traffic flowing, roads in good condition and everyone getting to their destination safely and on time. In the same way, Martin’s work makes the race course as fast as possible and predictable for the driver. We hope that the helmet in SAMI colours will bring confidence and luck in this role,” said Valm.

According to Martin Järveoja, “It is a great honour to represent a great Estonian company in the WRC carousel, whose equipment is used all over the world. “I am a user of SAMI products myself and dare to stand behind their quality. It is a great pleasure to introduce a great Estonian company to the WRC spectators,” said Järveoja.

The SAMI Group, which operates in the Baltic and Nordic countries, is a modern Estonian engineering, machinery sales and manufacturing company with over 30 years of experience. SAMI’s main products are durable road maintenance machines – snow ploughs, sand blowers, street cleaning brushes, etc. – suitable for the harsh and changeable climatic conditions of the Nordic countries.

The company exports most of its products to Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland and other European markets. The SAMI Group companies employ a total of about 200 people and production takes place in three main production sites in Saue, Valga and Otepää.
