Which sweeper is right for your machine?

The right road sweeper helps you work faster, protect your machine and achieve a cleaner result in a single pass. Below, SAMI sweepers are divided into three main weight categories so you can find the right model for your machine without trial and error.
The most critical factors when choosing a sweeping equipment are your machine’s weight and hydraulic capacity. If the sweeper is too heavy, it can damage the tractor’s front axle and make manoeuvring difficult. If it is too light for a large loader or tractor, it will be inefficient and more prone to damage.

Sweeper for compact tractors and compact loaders (1.5–3.5 tonnes)
With smaller machines, every kilogram counts. This category typically includes municipal tractors and smaller loaders used for cleaning pavements, park paths and residential courtyards. Standard-sized equipment cannot be used here, as it would overload the machine.

Compact Series bucket sweeper K-1500
The Compact Series bucket sweeper K-1500 is an ideal choice for machines weighing 1.5–3.5 tonnes with 40–80 hp. With a 1,500 mm working width, it allows you to sweep and collect debris into a 450-litre bucket in a single pass. The unit weighs 330 kg. It is particularly convenient for collecting winter granite chippings from pavements.
Compact Series sweeper SW-1800
The Compact Series sweeper SW-1800 is well suited to machines weighing 1.5–3 tonnes (35–70 hp). This is an angled sweeper that pushes debris to the roadside. Thanks to its lighter weight (approx. 190 kg), it does not overload a compact tractor but is effective enough for sweeping light snow and other debris. It is ideal for pavements due to its working width and rear-mounted wheels (when angling the sweeper, the wheels do not run off the pavement).
Sweeper for medium-sized tractors (2–6.5 tonnes)
This is the most common machine class in road maintenance, including agricultural tractors and versatile municipal machines. The range here is the widest and depends on whether you want to collect debris or simply sweep.

HW Series sweepers
The HW Series is designed specifically for these machines. Models HW-1700 and HW-2000 (with working widths of 1.7 m and 2 m respectively) are ideal for tractors weighing 2–4.5 tonnes. If you have a slightly larger machine (3–6.5 tonnes), consider wider models such as the HW-2200 or HW-2700, which cover a larger area and require 90–140 hp from the tractor.

Bucket sweepers
In this class, the K-1800 bucket sweeper is a leading model. With a 940-litre capacity and a weight of 500 kg, it is optimised for machines weighing 3–4.5 tonnes (80–120 hp). It offers a balanced solution, delivering sufficient performance for cleaning car parks without overloading a medium-sized tractor.

Rotary sweepers
The HB-2500 rotary sweeper is designed for fast work on highways and large areas. This model is suitable for tractors from 3.5 tonnes upwards and requires a minimum oil flow of 50 l/min. The HB-2500 can be hydraulically angled up to ±30 degrees.
Sweeper for large tractors and loaders (5–12+ tonnes)
If your fleet includes large wheel loaders or heavy tractors weighing over 5 tonnes, you need sweeping equipment that can withstand extreme loads and handle large volumes of material.

Bucket sweepers
The K-2000 and K-2500 bucket sweepers are true workhorses. The K-2000 is suitable for machines weighing 4.5–6 tonnes. It has a bucket capacity of 1,736 litres and weighs 640 kg.
The largest model, the K-2500, is designed for loaders weighing 5–12 tonnes (140–200 hp). Its bucket capacity is 1,730 litres and it weighs 790 kg, allowing you to collect a large volume of construction debris or other material before emptying. These units are built on a reinforced frame and designed for heavy-duty work.

Collecting sweeper CB-2000
The collecting sweeper CB-2000 is a solution for dust-free cleaning on urban streets. It has a 460-litre bucket capacity and weighs 790 kg, making it well suited to tractors and loaders weighing 4.5–8 tonnes. Thanks to its floating hitch system, the CB-2000 follows the ground contour and is optimised for smooth yards and roads.

Rotary sweeper HB-3000
The large rotary sweeper HB-3000 (working width nearly 3 metres) is designed for machines weighing 4–8 tonnes, enabling fast cleaning of large highways or industrial parks. The road-following frame construction ensures efficient operation.

Specific solutions for warehouses and industry
Sometimes the base machine is not a tractor but a forklift.
The push broom PB-2000 is a simple and ingenious solution for warehouses and production areas. It attaches to forklift forks and requires no hydraulics, it operates simply by pushing. It can be used with any size forklift whose forks fit the mounting. Ideal for pushing together sawdust, pellets or other loose debris indoors or on hard outdoor surfaces.
The push broom can also be mounted on front loaders or loaders. It effectively cleans surfaces from light gravel, debris, waste, leaves, light snow and similar materials.
Summary
- 1.5–3.5 tonne machines: choose the Compact Series K-1500 (for collecting) or SW-1800 (for sweeping).
- 3–6 tonne machines: choose an HW Series sweeper, K-1800 or HB-2500.
- 6–12+ tonne machines: choose the reinforced K-2500, high-capacity CB-2000 or HB-3000.
