SAMI diagonal plough is designed for clearing snow from harder-surfaced flat roads. Its asymmetric shape is designed for better rolling and throwing of snow. To protect the plough from colliding with smaller obstacles, there is a shock absorber at the top of the plough and a pressure valve in the hydraulic system. The shock absorber allows the plough to pivot forward relative to the attachment points in the event of a collision, helping to prevent damage to the plough and allowing it to slide more easily over smaller obstacles.
